• sharlene lynette brooks, 45,

of Peabody, died June 8 at her home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Peabody United Methodist Church, 403 N. Sycamore St., with pastor David Ragland officiating.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 14, at Baker Funeral Home, 114 N. Sycamore, Peabody.

She was born Aug. 23, 1967, to LeRoy Frederick and Eleanor Louise Gaines Brunner in Newton. On Nov. 16, 1985, she was married to Harold Junior Brooks, who survives.

Other survivors include son Christopher Fredrick Brooks and daughter Heather Ann Brooks.

Memorials may be made to the Peabody Community Foundation and sent in care of Baker Funeral Home, 114 N. Sycamore, Peabody, KS 66866.

• betty jean burch, 86,

of Canton, died May 25 at Angel Arms in McPherson.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at Canton Christian Church, 111 N. Fifth St., Canton.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at Olson’s Mortuary, 139 N. Main, Canton.

She was born Nov. 9, 1926, to Edward and Rose (Tabota) Bisnett at Parsons. On May 31, 1949, to Raymond K. Burch, who predeceased her Jan. 28, 2008.

Survivors include daughters Dianna and Randall Unruh of Galva, Jeanie and Tim Nelson of Chelsea, Okla., Sheila and Ron LeDuc of Assaria, Kim and Russ Nightingale of Galva and Eddie Sue and David Howard of McPherson; daughter-in-law Terri Burch of Brighton, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one...

• Levi brown, 88,

died May 11 at Peabody Care Center.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington, Hillsboro.

Burial will be at Durham Park Cemetery in rural Durham.

He was born Sept. 1, 1924, to Michael and Lena (Muth) Brown in Newrockford, N.D. On Oct. 3, 1942, he was married to Georgia Dick, who survives.

Other survivors include son Jerald and Almadona Brown of Hillsboro; daughter Jo Ann and Mark Taku of San Jose, Calif.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

former co-owner of Ted’s Dyno Shop, died May 10.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at Broadway Colonial Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway St., Wichita.

Survivors include son Joe and Linda Reed; daughters Judy Johnson, Jill and Johnny Whitmore and Jana and Donnie Martin; brother Robert and Jane Gardner; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
