• ESTHER R. FISHER, 88,

a farm wife of Hillsboro, died Jan. 19 at Pinnacle Park, Salina.

Services were Jan. 24 at Strassburg Baptist Church, rural Marion, with pastors Dale Janzen and Don Mashburn officiating. Burial was at Lewis Cemetery in Ramona.

She was born April 28, 1923, to Peter C. and Susie (Regier) Janzen in Lehigh. On Aug. 31, 1941, she was married to Lawrence Fisher, who predeceased her in 1979.

Survivors include sons Douglas Fisher of Newton and Loren and Janet Fisher of Salina; daughter Eileen and Darryl Williams of Wellington; brother Ted Janzen; sisters Susie Buller and Ruby Neufeldt; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Strassburg Baptist Church and sent in care of Jost Funeral...

OBITWinter • SARAH ENS FRIESEN, 92,

a homemaker, died Jan. 13 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, 610 S. Main St., Hillsboro, with pastor Roy Keller officiating.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial is at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Sunset Memorial Garden, Garden City.

She was born June 9, 1919, to C.C. Harms and Anna (Quiring) Harms at Tulare County, Calif. On May 6, 1955, she was married to Dan E. Ens, who predeceased her in 1990. On Sept. 22, 1992, she was married to Fred Friesen, who predeceased her in 2005.

Survivors include sons timothy Dean and Tammy Ens of Wichita, Alvin Dwight and Kimberly Ens of Olathe and Howard...

• PHILIP GEORGE BOWEN, 58,

of Peabody, employed with the Marion County Road & Bridge Department, died Jan. 7 at Peabody.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Peabody Christian Church, 403 N. Sycamore St., Peabody, with Pastor Jim Pohlman officiating.

He was born June 23, 1953, to Robert and Esther (Liggett) Bowen in Hillsboro. On Dec. 4, 1992, he was married to Connie Sue Weiser, who survives.

a stockman and business owner of Durham, died Dec. 22 at Parkside Homes in Hills­boro.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Roxbury United Parish, 110 S. Lane, Roxbury, with pastor Nancy Modin officiating.

Burial was at Valley View Cemetery in rural Roxbury.

He was born July 30, 1926, to Jimmy and Vera (Nirider) Crowther at Roxbury. On June 9, 1946, he was married to Doris Zeitlow of Durham, who survives.

Other survivors include brother-in-law Leonard and Deanna Zeitlow of McPherson; sister-in-law Dorothy Zeitlow of Ponca City, Okla., and many nieces and nephews.
