Marjorie L. Lohls

 

Marjorie L. Kohls, 80, retired housekeeper of Marion, died July 9 in McPherson.

The service was July 11 at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion. Burial followed in the Marion Cemetery.

She was born March 20, 1927, to Fred and Augusta (Kandt) Kohls at Elk.

She is survived by eight nieces and nephews, including Dick and Dennis Maggard of Marion, and nine grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

A memorial has been established with Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marion.

Frank J. Wiens, 94, worker with Mennonite Central Committee, died July 12 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday July 20 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church with pastor Dave Plett officiating.

Delbert Hamm

 

Delbert Hamm, 73, contracted milk hauler, died July 8 in Newton.

Visitation with family receiving guests is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

The service is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Durham with Curtis Wiens officiating.

He was born June 16, 1934, to Edward and Bertha (Hill) Hamm in Hillsboro. He was married to Linda Hamm, who died in 1982. On July 6, 1984, he was married to Carolyn Turner, who survives in rural Hillsboro.

He is also survived by four sons, Lonnie and Donna Hamm of rural Hillsboro, and Ronnie and Denise, David Peaney and Chris Stuart, all of Newton; five daughters, Connie and Tom Jenkins of Pratt, Bonnie and Royce Saltzman of...

Karen Hall

Karen Carol (Alexander) Hall, 57, died June 28 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.

The service was July 2 at Kingdom Life Ministries with Scott Miller officiating.

She was born Oct. 26, 1949, to Arthur and Susie (Dean) Alexander in Dodge City.

She is survived by a daughter, Monica Hall of Newton; a son, Raymond and Carrie of Hesston; five brothers, Mervin and Sarah Alexander of Denver, Colo., Arlin and Betty Alexander of Satanta, Scotty Alexander of Mullinville, Duane and Linda Alexander of Ulysses and Claude Alexander of McLean, Va.; a sister, Susan and Richard Helsel of Dexter; and two grandchildren.

Rex Guhr

 

Rena Dwaine “Rex” Guhr, 52, truck driver, died June 18 at Via Christi St. Joseph in Wichita.

The service was June 22 at Tabor Mennonite Church in Goessel with Corey Miller and Karen Andres officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

He was born July 3, 1954, to Daniel and Velma (Schmidt) Guhr in Goessel. On Oct. 11, 2002, he was married to Connie Haynes, who survives in rural Newton.

He is also survived by three sons, Jason of Herington, Nevin of McPherson and Nathaniel of Lindsborg; two daughters, Charissa of Goessel and Kendra of Salina; a stepson, Jack Lyon of Goessel; two sisters, Wilma Copeland of Iowa and ElFrieda Schmidt of Omaha, Neb.; and one grandchild.

Arnold Brenzikofer

 

Arnold F. Brenzikofer, 96, former co-op manager, died June 5 at Emporia Presbyterian Manor.

Service was June 16 at the manor chapel with Jayne Duncan officiating. Inurnment was in Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado.

He was born March 30, 1911, to Frank and Ida R. Stackley Brenzikofer in Burns. On Jan. 6, 1940, he was married to Bessie Thompson, who died in 1974. On Sept. 6, 1975, he was married to Thelma Rankin, who died in 1994.
