Esther Yos, 85

Esther P. (Plett) Yos, 85, former legal secretary, died March 4 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 8 at Schowalter Villa Chapel. She will be buried at Springfield Cemetery, north of Goessel on Kansas Highway 15.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. until the service begins.

She was born May 25, 1922, to Cornelius E. and Elisabeth (Fast) Plett in Lehigh. On May 24, 1980, she was married to F.W. Yos, who predeceased her in 1987.

She is survived by two step-children and many step-grandchildren; a brother, Andrew Plett of Goessel; a sister, Alvina Siebert of Hutchinson; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Becker, 88

Mary Helen Becker, 88, homemaker and former librarian, died March 3 in Hillsboro.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 8 at First Baptist Church of Durham. Burial will be prior to the service at 10 a.m. at Durham Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

She was born April 17, 1919, to Benjamin Hays and Helen Ward Hays in Wakeeny. On Sept. 7, 1946, she was married to Dorman D. Becker, who predeceased her.

She is survived by a son, Kent and Ginger Becker of Durham; two daughters, Sherry and Dennis Conyers of McPherson and Tammi and Larry Meysing of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother, Curtis Hayes of Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren and five...

Pauline Wegerer, 88

Pauline (Patry) Wegerer, 88, homemaker, died March 1 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

The funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 8 at Holy Family Parish, St. Mark’s Church in Marion. The rosary will be recited prior to the service at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the Marion Cemetery.

Visitation with family present will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. March 7 at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion.

She was born Oct. 28, 1919, to John B. and Mary (Eberle) Patry in Peabody. On April 11, 1945, she was married to Robert Wegerer, who predeceased her in 2004.

She is survived by a son, Lou and Judy Wegerer of Marion; a daughter-in-law, Karen Wegerer of Colwich; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Phyllis Meisinger, 70

Phyllis E. Meisinger, 70, public accountant, died March 1 in Hillsboro.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 4 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation with the family present will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

She was born Nov. 7, 1937, to Wilferd D. and Zella M. Foiles Blanchfield in Newton.

She is survived by a son, Richard D. and Tonya Meisinger of Hillsboro; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Florence Elizabeth Macy, 95, homemaker, died Feb. 6 at the Golden Living Center in Marion.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at the Valley United Methodist Church in Marion.

She was born Nov. 2, 1912, to W.A. and Agnes (King) Barry in Codell. On Aug. 7, 1936, she was married to F. Warren Macy, who predeceased her in 2007.

She is survived by her children, Harold and Judy Macy of Vancouver Island, Vancouver, Canada, and Margaret and Rex Wilson of Marion; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
