• michael j. childs Jr., 37,a design engineer at Agco Corp., died Jan. 2 at his home in North Newton.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Agco Communications Center, 420 W. Lincoln Blvd., Hesston.
Memorials may be made to Caring Hands Humane Society and sent in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS 67114, in charge of arrangements.
• Jack e. smith, 81,
a retired pastor and former owner of Jack Smith Shoe Shop in Wichita, died Jan. 5 at his home in Canton.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Canton Christian Church, 111 N. Fifth St. Burial was Jan. 7 at Canton Township Cemetery.

• michael j. childs Jr., 37,a design engineer at AGCO Corp., died Jan. 2 at his home in North Newton.
A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
He was born April 4, 1975, to Michael Jay and Loretta Dee Smith Childs Sr. in Hillsboro. He was married to Amber (Sadowsky) Childs of Newton, who survives.
Other survivors include mother Loretta Childs of Marion; mother-in-law, Peggy Schilling of Newton; step-son Brody Scott; step-daughters Brittany Jaso and Briley Scott, all of Newton; brothers Roger Dale Hudlin of Osage City and Jason Russell Hudlin of Council Grove; six nieces and nephews, two great nieces and one great nephew.

• Donald Raymond “Chuck” Milleson, 84,retired purchasing agent from McPherson, died Dec. 16 at his home.
The service was Dec. 22 at First United Methodist Church, McPherson, with pastors Darren Fraizer and Harold Nelson officiating. Interment of cremated remains was planned for later.
He was born Nov. 23, 1928, to Madgalene and Charles Henry Millesone in rural Gypsum. On Aug. 20, 1949, he was married to Edna, who survives.
He also is survived by his children, Michael Milleson and wife Martha of Leavenworth, Robertta Sechler of McPherson, Brent Milleson and wife Nyla of Springfield; sisters Maxine Swan of Harrison, Ark., Donna Jean Hinnant of Phoenix, Ariz., and Betty Hartford of Clinton, Tenn; grandchildren Valerye Milleson...

of Lincolnville and founder of the Donahue Corp. and owner of Clover Cliff Ranch, died Dec. 18 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.
The funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 22 at Morning Star Church of Durham.
Burial was at Durham Park Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 13, 1932, to Daniel H. III and Ona (Smith) Donahue in LaGrange, Wyo. On Jan. 24, 1953, he was married to Joan M. Dirks, who predeceased him.
Survivors include children Dudley Donahue of Durham, Tom and Rhonda Donahue of Ft. Collins, Colo., Tim and Lisa Donahue of Lincolnville and Debbie Donahue and companion Jim Holt of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

• Julie ann boydston, 92,
a homemaker, formerly of Caldwell, died Dec. 16 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.
A family memorial service will be at a later date.
She was born July 6, 1920, to Harry and Esther (Jensen) Jean in Black Hawk County, Iowa. On Dec. 29, 1944, she was married to Glenn L. Boydston, who predeceased her in 1999.
Survivors include son Harry L. and Karen Boydston of Louisburg; daughter Glenna Jean and Jim Newkirk of Marion; sister-in-law Mary Irwin of Bedford, Texas; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
