Hillsboro Easter egg hunt is Saturday
The Hillsboro Kiwanis Club is sponsoring its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Memorial Park.
Organizers are encouraging participants to bring a camera and have pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.
Hymn sing planned for Easter evening
A community hymn sing is planned for 7 p.m. Easter, at the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 Prairie Pointe.
The evening will include singing, prayer and Scripture reading. Participants will have an opportunity to select favorite hymns.
Steve Vincent will lead the evening, which has the theme, “Easter Is Only the Beginning.” Vocal music will be provided by Parkside Voices and soloist Glenn Litke.
Easter egg hunt set March 30 in Marion
The Marion Central Park Easter Egg Hunt begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 30. The egg hunt for children ages 2-3 will be at 10:30 a.m., ages 4-5 at 10:36 a.m., and ages 6-8 at 10:46 a.m.

HRC offering several programs
The Hillsboro Recreation Commission and the Honorable Tiger School of Martial Arts is sponsoring a martial arts program at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
Classes will be at the Hillsboro Elementary School at 6:30 p.m. Mondays. The price for the class is $40 a month.
The class will be taught by Ko Hai Mervin Lare, who is a Sifu Joe Bostick fifth level Lao Hu Pa’i Gung Fu. The classes will include Goshin Jutsu Karate, Lao Hu Pa’i Gung Fu, Judo techniques, self-defense training, Aiki Jutsu Karate and more.
The deadline for Blast Ball, T-Ball and Pitching Machine League is 5 p.m. Friday March 30. These programs are for 3 to 8-year-olds; the cost is $15.
HRC is still accepting entry forms for 10-under baseball and softball, 15-under baseball, 16-under softball and 18-under baseball.

St. Luke to host egg hunt March 29
St. Luke Living Center, 504 S, Roosevelt, Marion, is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 29, for children kindergarten age and younger.

Easter egg hunt Saturday in Florence
The Florence Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring this year’s Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30.
The event will be at Grandview Park and include three age groups with the youngest, birth to age 3, starting first, followed by children ages 4-7 and then those ages 8-11.
A drawing for two Easter baskets will also be held.

Donations sought for garage sale
Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church is sponsoring a “Friends of Alisha at HMB” garage sale and organizers said they are in need of donations.
Anyone willing to contribute toward this event can bring items to the church shed between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on April 10 and 11. The sale is to help defray dental expenses for Alisha Bryant, who is looking at several extractions with partial and full denture replacements.
