Card shower sought for Mueller’s 80thThe family of Vivian Mueller is requesting a card shower in honor of her 80th birthday June 17.
A long-time resident of the Canada community, she now resides in Hillsboro with her husband, Norman E. Mueller.
Children are Norm Mueller and Christy Murphy of Denver, Colo.; Barry and Julie Mueller of Healdsburg, Calif.; and Jo O'Dell of Marion.
She has eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Goossen celebrates 80th birthday
George Goossen Jr. is celebrating his 80th birthday Friday, April 30, and his family would like to honor him with a card shower.

Family members said he would like to hear from those who remember from long ago or those who only recently met him.

Card shower sought Ewert’s 90th birthdayAmanda Ewert will celebrate her 90th birthday Tuesday, April 20.
She was married to John Ewert, former registrar of Tabor College. She was the secretary at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren for 20 years.
Her children include Steve and Rachel Behrends of Kansas City; Rich and Eldora Penner of McPherson and Al and Ruth Ewert of Wichita. Her grandchildren are Jimmy and Rebecca Whited, David and Alex Behrends, Matt and Angie Penner and the late Phil and Esther Penner. She also has five great-grandchildren.

Hillsboro resident to celebrate 80thA come-and-go birthday celebration is planned for Lynn Penner of Hillsboro from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at the Hillsboro Senior Center, 212 N. Main St.
The party is being hosted by children Linda and Morris Ewert of Goessel, Gary and Terri Penner of Hillsboro, Diane and Kent Jost of Hesston and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
