Chris and Myra Braun of Reedley, Calif., announce the birth of their son, Matthias Jakob, born Sept. 15.

He weighed 5 pounds, 5 ounces and was 19 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Efrain and Aurora Tovar of Kingsburg, Calif.

Paternal grandparents are Jack and Laverna Braun of Hillsboro.
