Jonas Carr

Tim and Tera Carr announce the birth of their son, Jonas James, born at 7:20 p.m. Aug. 23 in Dodge City. He weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces, and was 20 inches long.

He was welcomed home by sister Hayden and brother Jenson.

Maternal grandparents are Kevin and Pat Heeke of Spearville and the late Cheryl Heeke.

Maternal great-grandparents are Elizabeth (Heeke) Beller of Dodge City and Robin Gery of Grottoes, Va.

Paternal grandparents are James and Kathy Carr of Hillsboro.

Paternal great-grandparents are Wanda and the late Max Carr of Marion and the late Florian and Nina Krotz.

Leighton Thiessen

Phillip and Melanie Thiessen of Hillsboro announce the birth of their daughter, Leighton Ann Thiessen, born Aug. 8, at Newton Medical Center, Newton.

She weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and was 201?2 inches long.

Leighton was welcomed home by her brother, Braden, 2.

Maternal grandparents are Roger and Helen Hagen of Hillsboro. Maternal great-grandparents are Fred and Doris David and Dorothy Hagen, all of Hillsboro.

Paternal grandparents are Walt and Neva Thiessen of Wichita and Pam Buller of Hillsboro. Paternal great-grandparents are Harry and Joanne Buller of Houston, Texas, Mildred Buller of Newton and Jacob and Mary Thiessen of Alberta, Canada.
