Hillsboro couple to celebrate 65th

Raymond and Sylvia (Unruh) Abrahams of Hillsboro will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 25 at 1 Park Ave., Hillsboro.

They were married Nov. 30, 1947, at Hillsboro First Mennonite Church. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1980 and his wife was a homemaker. The couple have lived in Hillsboro since their marriage.

In addition to their vocations, both have given time to church and other groups. He has enjoyed restoring and driving a 1932 Chevrolet Cabriolet. She likes playing table games, sewing and quilting.

Their children are Beverly and Darold Klein of Fort Collins, Colo., Kim and Carol Abrahams of Hillsboro, Rex and DeVonne Abrahams of Canton and Dawn Abrahams of Moundridge. Grandchildren include Cameron Klein, Cheryl Beach, Corey Farris, Megan Kelley and Dustin Abrahams.

They also have five great-grandchildren.

The open house is being hosted by their children. Friends and family are invited to attend.
