Hillsboro couple celebrate 65 years
Jim and Gladys Schmidt observed their 65th wedding anniversary Feb. 2. The couple were married Feb. 2, 1947, in the Methodist parsonage at Pratt.
Jim is retired from Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co., Greensburg Station, after 33 years of service.
Gladys retired from the Haviland School System after 25 years of service.
After moving to Hillsboro, Jim delivered medications for Greenhaw Pharmacy for several years.
Their children are Phyllis and Cliff Van Horn of McPherson and Darlene and Daryl Bartel of Hillsboro. They also have three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Reimers celebrate 65th anniversary
Albert and Vada Reimer of Hillsboro are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary.
The couple were married Feb. 11, 1947, and they have been in the automobile business for the last 64 years—57 of those have been in Hillsboro.
They have six children including Gerald and Lois Reimer of West Linn, Ore., Gordon and Charlene Ediger of Lenexa, Melvin Reimer of Hillsboro, Monte and Janet Faul of Harvey, N.D., Greg and Beverly Dick of Baldwin City and Ryan and Marcia Schroeder of Kansas City, Mo.; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
They will be celebrating their anniversary in Kansas City with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
