Couple celebrated 65th anniversary Kermit and Ruth Ratzlaff of Hillsboro celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Aug. 7-10 at the Cross Wind Center in Hesston.
They were married Aug. 11, 1944, in Los Angeles, Calif. After earning his doctorate degree from UCLA, Kermit spent his career in physiology at Southern Illinois University before retiring to Hillsboro in 1993.
Reunion activities included a six-generation slide presentation, “Of John Deere, Frogs and Mission,” the Ratzlaff Family Quiz Show, worship together, a trip to the Salt Museum in Hutchinson, as well as a celebratory dinner Sunday with Kermit’s sisters, Irma Koop and Merlie Friesen, at The Water's Edge.

Klendas to celebrate 50th anniversaryRichard and Margaret Klenda will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a reception at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Pilsen Community Center with a dance to follow.
Richard Klenda and Margaret Bina were married Sept. 5, 1959, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pilsen with Monsignor Arthur Tonne officiating.

Couple to celebrate 60th anniversary
Ralph and Luella (Regier) Popp of Marion will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Wednesday, Aug. 19.
The couple were married Aug. 19, 1949, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Marion.
Arranging a special family gathering in the near future will be their children, John Popp of Wichita and Joanne and Dave Loewen of Hillsboro and grandchildren David and Lena Loewen and Edward and Luanne Loewen, all of Hillsboro.
As part of their 60th anniversary, the couple plans to take a bus trip later this year.

Canton couple to celebrate 45 years James and Judy (Vickrey) White of Canton will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary Aug. 9.
They were married Aug. 9, 1964, in the Christian Church at Canton.
Their children are son Justin and Adrianna of Canton, daughter Jennifer and Ty Theurer of Harper, and they have four grandchildrend.

The children of Harlow and Edith (Albright) Warneke of Marion are requesting a card shower for the 65th wedding anniversary of their parents.
They were married Aug. 10, 1944, at Grace Lutheran Church in El Dorado.
Connie Warneke of Topeka, Pat Elbing of Lebanon, Tenn. and Gerry Lundy of McPherson are their children.
