Open house slated June 11 for GfellersDon and Marjorie (Parsons) Gfeller are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house reception from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 11 at the Burns Community Center, 301 N. Washington Ave.
Friends and family are invited to attend.
The couple were married June 10, 1951, at Burns Methodist Church.
He is retired from Farmers Grain Co-op and El Dorado Dillons Grocery. She is retired from Newton’s Kinder Manufacturing and Benton Floral and Greenhouse. For 20 years they sold their produce at the El Dorado Farmers’ Market.
The couple’s five children and their families are hosting the event and include Lynnetta and Robert Miller of Dewey Okla., Donna and Gary Rodvelt of Hurricane...

Canton couple to celebrate 60thLeRoy and Evelyn Klatt are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 11 at the American Legion Hall, 132 N. Main St., Canton, for friends and family.
They were married June 17, 1951, in McPherson. LeRoy is a retired farmer and bus driver for USD 419 Canton-Galva School District for 39 years. Evelyn retired after 27 years as an employee with CertainTeed Plastics of McPherson.
The Klatts have two children, Theresa and Robert Carroll of Perryton, Texas, and Randy Klatt and Donna Ledford of Canton.

Hillsboro couple celebrate 25 years
Tim and Barbara (Lacey) Schneider of rural Hillsboro celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
They were married May 3, 1986, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina. She is a rural mail carrier in Hillsboro and her husband is a production crew chief at AGCO in Hesston.
Their children are Clint and Katherine Schneider of Wichita and Grant and Rachel of Hillsboro. An anniversary party celebrating their 25 years of marriage will be at a later date.

Couples celebrate 150 years togetherThree couples, Francis and Rita Steiner of rural Durham, George and Kathleen Oborny of rural Marion and Jerry and Vernie Base of Smolan, are celebrating a total of 150 years of marriage with an open/house reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. April 17.
Prior to the open house, the family will have a family dinner at 12:30 p.m., but everyone is invited to the reception at Holy Family Catholic Church basement, 415 N Cedar, Marion, family members said.
The Steiners were married April 15, 1961, and will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
The Obornys were married April 14, 1956, and are being honored for 55 years of marriage.
The Bases’ anniversary date is Feb. 19, 1966, for 45 years.

Marion couple celebrates 50 yearsBill and Elaine (Winter) Stoltenberg of Marion were married Dec. 31, 1960, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wichita. The couple lived in Westminster, Colo., until 1966.
He worked at Leajet for 13 years and then went to Boeing Aircraft in 1980 They then moved to Marion in 1983.
He retired from Boeing in 1991 and his wife taught ceramics for many years.
In retirement, they have traveled and enjoy their grandchildren and friends.
The family has planned a 50th wedding anniversary dinner ifor them at Brookville Hotel in Abilene.
The couple have two children, David, who is deceased, and daughter Cheryl and Jay Christensen. They also have two grandchildren.
