ANNWilcox Wilcox family ask for card shower



Keith and Sina Wilcox of rural Chase County are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and their family is requesting a card shower.

The couple were married March 15, 1963, eloping to Clayton, N.M. They settled on Sina’s family farm in southwest Chase County and spent more than 25 years dairy farming. They have since retired from dairying and spend their time with their beef herd and dogs.

The Wilcoxes have three children to include Tina of rural Burns, Toby of Marion, Cherie of Hesston and one grandchild, Josh of Manhattan.

Hagamanwedding Hillsboro couple to celebrate 50th



 



 

Gerry Lynn Hagaman and Charlotte Brownlee Hagaman of Hillsboro are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 10, hosted by daughter Jamie, at 1105 Parkway Court, Hillsboro.

The couple were married March 9, 1963, at First Baptist Church in Satanta.

Lynn was a general contractor and photographer and Charlotte was a nurse throughout their married life. They are both retired.

They have three children and 19 grandchildren to include Devon and Kevin Gokmen and Kemper, Aaron, Kaden and Aliya of Huntsville, Ala.; Amy and Laird Garner, Rachel, Grace, Carolyn, Isaiah, Michael, Penelope, Sarah, Addie, Eleanor and Samuel of Winston-Salem...

ANNNOW MAKOVEC0893 Swans to celebrate 40th anniversary



 



 

The family of Paul and Kathy Swan is hosting a 40th wedding anniversary for the couple from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20.

The “come and go” reception will be at the Marion City Building, 208 E. Santa Fe St., Marion.

They were married Jan. 20, 1973, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Marion.

The two were both employed at Quality Food Market in downtown Marion until the closing of the local grocery store in 1993.

Paul then went to work full-time with his business, Swan’s Refrigeration & Air Conditioning. Kathy is employed as the deputy treasurer at the Marion County Courthouse.

They have resided in Marion since their marriage.

Willis and Eleanor (Wein­brenner) Herbel will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at Hillsboro Senior Center, 212 N. Main St.

They were married Dec. 26, 1962, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in Goessel.

The anniversary celebration is being hosted by their children and grandchildren. They are DeLayne and Christine Herbel, Landon, Erich and Carson of rural Lehigh; Kevin and Paula Herbel, Aaron, Danea, Joshua, Caleb, Jacob, Karina, Jeremiah, Calabria and Isaiah of Durham; Todd and Kristi Krispense, Kolton, Konrad, Klayton, Kordell, Kaitlyn and Karalyn of Marion and Jon and Ashlee Herbel, Elena, Taelin and Nathan of Salina.

Hillsboro couple to celebrate 60th

Eldon and LaVonne Wiens of rural Hillsboro will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with their children and their families Dec. 22 at the Brookville Hotel in Abilene.

The couple were married Nov. 30, 1952, at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro. They continue to be involved with farm operations in the community.

Their children include Brad and Jane Wiens of rural Hillsboro, Diane and Garvie Schmidt of Hillsboro, Kim and Amy Wiens of Midlothian, Texas, Cheryl and D.J. Kauffman of Hutchinson. They also have 12 grandchildren.
