Peabody couple to celebrate 60th
A card shower is requested for Roy and Arlene Unruh of Peabody, who will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary Aug. 17.
They were married in 1950 at the First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro.
They have lived in Lehigh, Hillsboro, and Peabody, where they owned and operated Peabody Sausage House for 27 years.
Roy Unruh is living at Legacy Park in Peabody and his wife is at home.
The couple have three children, Cynthia (Cyndi) Unruh of Springdale, Ariz., Marilyn Unruh of Peabody and Duane Unruh of McPherson.
They also have two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A private family celebration is planned.

Marion couple celebrate 60 years
Jack and Treva Kerbs will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary July 12.
They were married July 12, 1950, at Marion Christian Church in Marion with pastor Eugene Duty officiating.
Jack worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation for 44 years, retiring in 1994 as maintenance supervisor in Marion.
Treva was a homemaker.
They have three daughters, Jacque and Kelly Rector of Lawrence, Gwen Seidel of Marion and Chris and David Nahirny of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Janzens mark their 50th anniversary

Marlin and Luella (Nachtigall) Janzen of Hillsboro are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married June 24, 1960, in the Henderson (Neb.) Mennonite Brethren Church.
Marlin works in the laboratory at Newton Medical Center, and Lu is chief executive officer of Parkside Homes Inc.
They have two children, Mark Janzen and wife Betsy of Lindsborg and Maura Wiebe and husband Glenn of Hillsboro. They also have four grandchildren.

Virgil and Norma Clark of Burns will mark their 65th wedding anniversary with a private family celebration.
Virgil Clark and Norma Wilber were united in marriage July 3, 1945, in San Francisco, Calif., while he was on leave from the U.S. Navy during World War II. Virgil is a retired rural mail carrier from Burns, Florence and Marion. Norma has always been a homemaker.
Their children are Janice McConnell, Charles Clark, Gail Topham, Tom Clark and Alisa Holm-McDowell. They have 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Sommerfelds mark 50 years of marriage
Pete and Ann Sommerfeld celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 12 with a come and go reception at the Durham Community Building. The celebration was hosted by their children.
The couple, married May 25, 1960, in Cottonwood Falls, have resided in the Durham community for 45 years.
Their children are Mike Sommerfeld of Enid, Okla., LeAnn Rall of Brewster, Donna Thomas of Elmo, and Robyn Skubal of Sweeney, Texas.
They have 12 grandchildren.
