Marion couple to celebrate 60 years
Jim and Carol Hett of Marion are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
The couple were married May 25, 1952. They have three children: Tim and Rob, both of Marion, and Kimberly and Mike Metcalf of Roseburg, Ore., five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Peabody couple celebrates 30 years
Wade and Bev “Jost” Knust are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary.
The couple were married May 8, 1982, in Branson, Mo.
They have two daughters, Amber Hatfield and husband Josh, who live in Fairfax, Va., and Heidi Newman and husband Jesse of Peabody.
The couple also have three grandchildren, Hayli, Jace and Kaiden Newman.

Couple plan 50th anniversary eventStanley and Ruth Hodson Reed of Marion are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in Seabrook, S.C.
They were married April 7, 1962, in Wichita. Following military service, Stanley was a defense consultant and later as superintendent of the Kansas Soldiers’ Home in Fort Dodge, where he retired in 2000.
She was a nurse practitioner and retired in 2009.
The couple have four children. They include Kristina and husband Rodger Menezes and their children Lindsey and John Luke of Miami, Fla., Jana and husband Alfred Marogil and children Paige and Adam of La Grange, Ill., Justin Reed of New York, N.Y., and Leslie and husband Troy Byriel and daughter Chloe of Miami. Public invited to Martens’ reception
Jim and Virginia Martens of Hillsboro are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with a public come-and-go reception from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. March 24 at the Hillsboro Scout House.
They were married March 25, 1972, and have two children, Jessica and husband Mitch Frantz of Hillsboro, and Matt and wife Abby Martens of McPherson. The couple also have four grandchildren.
The reception is being hosted by their children. The couple request no gifts.
