Richard and Dolores Mann of Cedar Point will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, May 13, with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cottonwood Falls Community Building in Swope Park of Cottonwood Falls.

The reception will be hosted by their children and their families: Sonia and John Koslosky of Freedom, Pa.; Tony Mann and family of Cottonwood Falls; and Tammy and Jeff Jirak and family of Marion. Their grandchildren are Jared and Katie Mann; Jordan Mann; and Anne, Megan, and Joel Jirak.

Dolores Noreen Maxwell and Richard Lee Mann were married May 19, 1957, at the United Methodist Church in Admire. Richard graduated from Cedar Point High School, served in the U.S. Army immediately...

Regehrs celebrating 25th anniversary

Regehr25th Anniv..jpg Regehr25th Anniv..jpg An open house is planned for 2 p.m to 4 p.m. May 6 at the Can­ton Fire Station to celebrate the 25th wedding anniversary of Roger and Terra (Vogts) Regehr.

Roger and Terra were united in marriage May 2, 1982, at the Canton United Methodist Church.

Roger is employed at Cessna in Wichita. Terra works at the K-State Research and Extension Office in McPherson.

Their children are Travis and Ted, both of Canton.

The couple requests no gifts.

An open house is planned for 2 p.m to 4 p.m. May 6 at the Can­ton Fire Station to celebrate the 25th wedding anniversary of Roger and Terra (Vogts) Regehr.

60th anniversary May 1 for Banmans

Richard and Evelyn Banman will celebrate their 60th anniversary May 1.

They were married May 1, 1947, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in rural Goessel.

They are retired farmers and have lived at 677 120th during all 60 years of their married life.

They have five children, Jan and Marty Howe of Chicago, Ill., Warren and Ilene of Denver, Colo,; Les and Susan of Haven; Larry and Teresa of Kremmling, Colo., and Maureen and Mick Petrocci of Hesston.

They have 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

They will celebrate with their children and grandchildren July 13 and 14.

Reception for Warkentines’ 60th

warkentine60thannivpresent.jpg warkentine60thannivpresent.jpg  Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Warkentine will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at the Peabody Unite Methodist Church.

Marvin married Thelma Manka April 19, 1947, at that church. They lived in Newton the first six years of their marriage and then spent the next 40 years on a farm in Burns. They reside in a small retirement home they built east of Burns.

 They have traveled from Mexico to Alaska and from California to New York and have enjoyed nine winters in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. As long-time members of the Carriage Travel Club, they were awarded the National Exceptional Service Award in 2006.

Mellots to celebrate 70th anniversary

John and Elda Mellott

John and Elda Mellott of Peabody will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at the Peabody Senior Center.

Their children and grandchildren will host.

John Mellott and Elda Schmidt were married April 7, 1937, at the Salem Evangelical Church in Newton. John, a lifelong farmer, and Elda, a homemaker, have three children, Joan and Jerry Jost of Hillsboro, and Richard and Vickie Mellott and Esther and Jon Brooks, all of Peabody; nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
