Anniversaries- Kirkpatricks to mark 50th

Ronald and Dorene (Wilder) Kirkpatrick of rural Florence will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday July 29 at the Burns Community Building in Burns.

They were married July 20, 1957, at Summit Methodist Church. Ronald is a farmer and rancher, and Dorene is a homemaker. They enjoy gardening and traveling to their grandchildrens’ events and ballgames.

The Kirkpatricks have three children—Duane and wife Lori of rural Marion, Larry of rural Florence, and Cindy and husband Jeff of Florence—three grandsons and one granddaughter.

The couple requests no gifts. Carods may be sent to their home at 740 Xavier Road, Florence, KS 66851.

 

 

Schmidts to celebrate 50th anniversary

 Dannie and Alice Schmidt of Goessel will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. July 15 at the AGAPE Senior Center in Goessel.

Dannie Schmidt and Alice Ruby Funk were married May 24, 1957, at Bruderthal Church. He has farmed and worked for Hesston Corp. She has worked for Central Kansas Hatchery and Schowalter Villa.

They have three children, L.H. and Cheryl Brunner of Elbing, Dwayne and Fawn of Newton, Conn., and Richard and Lynette Johnston of rural Newton; and 11 grandchildren.

They request no gifts.

Albert and Martha Loewen of North Newton will celebrate their 50thanniversary with a program at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at KoernerHeights Church of the Mennonite Brethren in Newton, followed by areception from 3:15 p.m. to 5 p.m. Albert Loewen and Martha JaneThiessen were married June 28, 1957, at Zoar Mennonite Brethren Churchin Inman. Albert was employed by the former Crossroads Coop in Goesseland North Newton, and Martha taught school in Cimarron, Hillsboro andGoessel. Both are retired. The event is hosted by their three children,Lois and Siegfried Snyder of Wichita, James and Naomi Loewen of Wichitaand Duane and Kathy Loewen of Newton; and 13 grandchildren.

Bullingers celebrate 50th anniversary

Lawrence and Irma (Burkner) Bullinger of Canton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. July 1 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Canton.

They were married May 26, 1957. He is a self-employed farmer and she is retired from the State Bank of Canton.

They have four children, Scot of Minnetonka, Minn., Jay of Canton, Phil of Cumming, Ga., and Reed of Montezuma; and seven grandchildren.

  Funks to celebrate 50th anniversary

 

Kenneth and Bonnie Funk of rural Hillsboro will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary July 8 with family and friends.

They also enjoyed a 14-day trip in January to California and other points of interest.
