Muellers celebrate 60th anniversary

The family of Norman and Vivian Mueller requests a card shower to celebrate their parent’s 60th wedding anniversary.Cards can be sent to 1944 Navajo, Marion, KS 66861.
The Muellers were married in the First Baptist Church of Durham on Sept. 10, 1948. They have lived in Canada, Kan., all of their married life. Norman was co-owner of Cardie Oil Inc., Tampa, for more than 60 years. Vivian was a homemaker. After the children were grown, she managed the Cardie Oil station in Hillsboro until she retired.

Heins celebrate 60th anniversary

Edward and Margaret Hein of Hillsboro celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a bus tour to Kentucky and Indiana from Aug. 6 to 12.
They also celebrated with their family at the Brookville Hotel in Abilene.
The Heins were married Aug. 10, 1948, at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Marion, now Eastmoor United Methodist Church. The couple has farmed all of their married life.
Children are Karen and Greg Jaworsky of Newton, Jan and Jim Britton of Denver, Colo., and Dean and Beth Hein of Hillsboro. They have eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Seibels celebrate 50th anniversary

Bob and Betty Seibel celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 6 with family and friends at the Parkview Church Activity Center.
They were married April 7, 1958, in the first newly constructed Parkview—then Gnadenau—sanctuary.
The celebation was hosted by their children and grandchildren: Mark and Patty Seibel, Kristen and Andrew, Moscow, Russia; Tonya and Michael Nansel, Rockville, Md.; and Doug and Barbara Seibel, Greenville, S.C.

Klassens to mark 60th anniversary Donald and Lenora Friesen Klassen will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends.
They were married June 24, 1948, in the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church at Mountain Lake, Minn., by pastor William Loewen.
The couple, who reside at 213 S. Jefferson, have six children, 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Friesens celebrate 60th anniversary
Elmer and Leona (Cordts) Friesen of Hillsboro celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 29 with family and friends.
The couple were married June 18, 1948, at Buhler (Kan.) Mennonite Brethren Church.
Elmer retired in 1989 from Hillsboro Cooperative Grain and Supply after working there 40 years...

Funks plan 50th anniversary Jim and Jeanie Funk of Marion will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary July 6 with family.
They were married July 6, 1958, at Brudertal Mennonite Church, rural Hillsboro. Jim is a farmer and Jeanie works at Countryside Feed in Hillsboro.
Children are Joy Encinias of Wichita, Lonnie and Shawn Funk of Manhattan and Gail Funk of Topeka. They have three grandchildren. Guhrs to celebrate 60 years July 5
The children of Herb and Doris Guhr are hosting an open house to celebrate their 60th anniversary from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 5, in the fellowship hall of Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 Prairie Pointe.
