Couple renew vows in Las Vegas

After 29 years of marriage, Mike and Kathy (Hendrickson) Ghahremanzadeh of Pembroke Pines, Fla., renewed their wedding vows Saturday, March 8, in Las Vegas, Nev.. Witnesses were Terry and Sandra Shaw.
The bride’s family lived in Hillsboro in the early 1970s.
The couple was married March 8, 1980 and will be moving back to Hillsboro in July.
She is a registered nurse specializing in cardiac nursing and her husband is a retired U.S. Army sergeant major with a degree in engineering, who currently has his own business.
They have two children Karlee, 9, and Zachary, 11.

Hillsboro couple celebrates 50thJames and Joyce Thiessen of rural Hillsboro celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 22 with a family dinner and dessert buffet at The Milk and Honey.
James Thiessen and Joyce Frantz were married Nov. 17, 1958 at the Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro.
They have two daughters, Michelle and husband Joe Kleinsasser of Hillsboro and Marilyn and husband Russ Friesen of Olathe and six grandchildren.
The couple also celebrated with a family trip to the San Antonio area (Texas) over the Thanksgiving weekend.Anniversary party Dec. 20 in Peabody

Couple celebrate 60th anniversary

Louis and Norma Penner of San Jose, Calif., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Tuesday, Nov. 4.
The couple grew up in the Hillsboro community. They owned the Hillsboro Body Shop until their move to San Jose in the early 1970s.
They have two sons, Dennis and wife Judy of Hillsboro and Daryl of San Jose, Calif.
They also have four granchildren and six geat-grandchilden.
Olsen's celebrate 45th anniversary

Jerry and Joyce Olsen of Marion will be celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary Monday, Nov. 3. They have three children, Terry of Marion, Sherry Kaufman, Tom, Bailey and Rebecca of Hillsboro and James and friend Sarah of Peabody.

Hillsboro couple to celebrate 65thCharles F. and Rosalene A. (Higgins) Stinchcomb of Marion will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Hillsboro United Methodist Church, 905 East D St.
The couple was married Oct. 8, 1943 at Lincolnville.
Family include children Charlene and Ralph Janzen of Hillsboro; Chuck and Barbara Stinchcomb of Russell; Mike and Emma Stinchcomb of Solomon; Susie and Richard Mueller of Mentor; Blaine and Bonnie Stinchcomb of Candian, Texas; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
