StoryTime begins March 2 in Marion

Spring StoryTime at Marion City Library, 101 Library St., begins March 2 through April 6 from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. for children ages 3 through 5.

Stories, games, crafts and snacks will be available for participants.

We want to thank everyone who attended our fundraiser at the Milk & Honey Bed & Breakfast.

Activities this week include Donna Becker with her topic, “Repot Yourself,” at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 22 and Golden Heritage Foods will have the program at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24.

The center’s birthday dinner is at noon Monday, Feb. 27, and we are hoping many can join us that day.

Applications are still being accepted for a head cook, so stop by the senior center and apply.

Remember anyone of any age can join us for lunch.

Meals are $2.75 for those age 60 and over and $4.50 for anyone 59 and under.

We eat at noon, Monday through Friday, and reservations must be called in before 9 a.m. the day of the...

farm wife and custodian of Hillsboro, died Feb. 14 at Wichita.

Services were Feb. 18 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 Prairie Pointe, with pastor Loyal Martin officiating. Burial was at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church or Hillsboro Senior Center and sent in care of Jost Funeral Home.

Monthly hymn sing Feb. 19 in Hillsboro

The monthly community hymn sing is at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, at the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 Prairie Pointe.

This month’s event will include singing, scripture reading and prayer. Those attending will have the opportunity to select favorite hymns.

The theme is “One Door––and Only One,” with Steve Vincent, organizer, and Lewis Hagen, trumpeter.

TEEN board plans to meet Feb. 15

The Technology Excellence in Education Network will have its regular meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, in the USD 408 central office, 101 N. Thorp, Marion.
