Whitney, McVey marry March 17

The bride is the daughter of Mark and Ginger Whitney of Peabody and the granddaughter of Dennis Dillon of Harper, Beverly Dillon-Craig of Wichita, Janetta Whitney of Wichita and the late Wendell Whitney.
The groom is the son of Robert and Sandra McVey of Peabody and the grandson of Donald and Gloria Webber of Newton, Jodie McVey of Danville, Calif., and the late Bruce McVey.
Both graduated in May from Fort Hay State University, the bride with a bachelor of arts and the groom with two bachelor’s degrees in business administration.

Dustin and Emily Dalke announce the birth of son, Owen Daniel, born May 29 at Newton Medical Center.
He weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long.
He joins brother Bryant Alan, 2 1/2.
Grandparents are Dan and Donna Dalke of Hillsboro and Mehl and Diane Cruit of Wichita. Great-grandparents are Bob and Dorothy Delk of Hillsboro.

Jim and Mary Regier of Hillsboro announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Christina Marie Regier, to Garrett Wayne Bryant, both from Hillsboro.
The bride-elect graduated in 2000 from Hillsboro High School and in 2006 from Tabor College with a degree in organizational communication. She is a personal banker with Midland Bank in Newton.
Her fiance is the son of Sheila Bryant of Dallas, Texas, and the late Gary Clark. He graduated in 2002 from American Heritage Academy and in 2007 from Tabor College with a degree in health and physical education. He works at Vogt’s Hometown Market and is an assistant men’s basketball coach at Tabor College.

Bullingers celebrate 50th anniversary

Lawrence and Irma (Burkner) Bullinger of Canton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. July 1 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Canton.
They were married May 26, 1957. He is a self-employed farmer and she is retired from the State Bank of Canton.
They have four children, Scot of Minnetonka, Minn., Jay of Canton, Phil of Cumming, Ga., and Reed of Montezuma; and seven grandchildren.
