The bride is the daughter of Don and Kathy Brax of Washington. She is the granddaughter of Lucille McGuire of Onaga and Alice Brax of Lindsborg. The groom is the son of Wes and Deloris Hiebert of El Dorado.
Maids of honor were Valerie Brax and Tiffany Brax. Best man was Spencer Stewart.

Lisa Loewen and Jeff Kroeker were married Aug. 11, in Henderson, Neb.
The bride is the daughter of Harold and Darla Loewen of Carpenter, S.D. The groom is the son of Don and Sandy Kroeker of Henderson.
The bride is pursuing a master’s degree in vocal performance at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
The groom graduated from Central Community College in Hastings with an associate degree of applied science in welding. He is employed with Fagen, Inc. as a pipe welder in Fairmont, Neb.
The couple resides in Lincoln, Neb.

Alpha Omega to hold silent auctionThe Alpha Omega Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International met Sept. 8 at the Wiebe Media Center at Hillsboro High School.
The next meeting will be Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Wiebe Media Center, and will include the annual silent auction, which is used to fund scholarships for women in Marion County who plan to pursue a teaching career.Mountain Man Rendezvous Oct. 5-6
The 13th annual Maxwell Wildlife Refuge Mountain Man Rendezvous will be held Friday, Oct. 5 and Saturday Oct. 6 at the Refuge, located six miles north of Canton.
Participants will experience the life style of mountain men and women by demonstrating survival skills dressed in buckskins and furs.

Carla Koslowsky will play piano after lunch. J. Robert Brookens will address Estate Planning, Part 2 on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Games, Gab & Goodies will be held for the women on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
