• frank j. heath Jr., 98,a farmer and carpenter, died Jan. 17 at his home in?Burns.
Services were at 10 a.m., Jan. 21 at Burns United Methodist Church. Burial was at Burns Cemetery.
He was born Jan. 19, 1914, to Frank J. and Lizzie (Whitlock) Heath, Sr. in rural Burns. On Feb. 28, 1940, he was married to Rosalie McIntosh, who predeceased him July 2012.

hillsboro senior centerShow ‘n Tell is Friday, Jan. 25, and we hope others will come join us.
Our birthday dinner is Jan. 28 and Jan. 29 we will celebrate Kansas Day.
Mary McFadden will be here Feb. 12 and March 12 for foot care. Appointments can be made by calling the center.
February menus are available and ready to be picked up. Anyone who would like a menu mailed to them is asked to let us know.
We still need volunteers from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Anyone interested in making themselves available to work one day a month or more is welcome. Volunteers also receive their meal free the day they help.
For those wanting to talk about a recent trip, sing or consider some other type of presentation, let us know. We would be happy to...

Frick, Clark wed Oct. 27 in WichitaTina Michele Frick of Durham and Matthew Brent Clark of Wichita were married at 4 p.m. Oct. 27 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by pastor Brian Allen.
The bride’s parents are Curtis and Clara Frick of Durham. Her grandparents are Bert and Alice Jost of Hillsboro.
The groom’s parents are Brent and Lou Ann Clark of Bushton. His grandmother is Jalayne Clark of Lyons.
The matron of honor was JulieAnne Rathbun of Chapman, best friend of the bride.

Frostbite Four Mile rescheduledThe Hillsboro Recreation Commission has rescheduled its eighth-annual Frostbite Four Mile run for 2 p.m. Super Bowl Sunday.
The event, originally planned for New Year’s Day, was postponed because of weather.
Participants should gather at the Hillsboro Scout House in Memorial Park. From there, the certified course winds through the city of Hillsboro; participants can either run or walk the course.
For registration forms call 620-947-3490 or e-mail recreation@cityofhillsboro.net. The entry fee is $15. Every participant who registers by Jan. 30 will receive a commemorative prize.
