The bride is the daughter of Larry and Donna Kukuk of Marion. The groom is the son of Gary Williams of Wichita and Patty Williams of Cedar Point.

CDDO to meet Monday, Oct. 15

 

The Harvey-Marion County Community Developmental Disability Organization (CDDO) will meet at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15 in the Commun­ity Room at the Harvey County Courthouse. The meeting is open to the public.

 Hearts for Him to perform Oct. 10

 

Hearts for Him, a nine-man singing group, will perform at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Zion Lutheran Church, 106 N. Lincoln, Hillsboro. The public is invited to attend.

 Blood drive to be held Oct. 15

 

The Hillsboro Blood Drive will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 Prairie Pointe.

Greetings from the Hillsboro Senior Center. As fall rolls into Hillsboro, we hope you will make it a point to join us for food, fun and fellowship this month.

After the noon meal Thursday, Oct. 11, Shawn Winter, Tabor College women’s basketball head coach, will share highlights about the upcoming season. At 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, bring your favorite mug for coffee and chatting at Donut Day. Tuesday, Oct. 16 is National Quilting Day. We encourage all seniors to bring in their favorite quilt to display. Join us Wednesday, Oct. 17 for a Carry in Meal. Bring your own table settings and a dish or dessert to share. Also, at 11:45 a.m. on Oct. 17, Dr. Zafar will begin hearing checks. After lunch he will share his research about hair cell...

Bob and Nikki Jones of Hillsboro announce the birth of a son, Evan Isaiah, born Sept. 13 at Newton Medical Center.

He weighed 6 pounds, 16 1⁄3 ounces and was 19 1⁄2 inches long.

He has a sister, Anna, 3.

Maternal grandparents are LaVerne and Linda Esau of Hillsboro. Paternal grandparents are Bob Jones of El Dorado and Bev Rierson of Douglas. Great-grandparent is Suzie Pratt of El Dorado.

Their parents are Hank and Lynn Wiebe and Dick and Carla Hein, all of Hillsboro.

The bride-elect is employed by Head Start of Marion County. The groom-to-be is employed at Rod’s Tire in Hillsboro.

The couple will be married Dec. 8 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.
