Classical guitarist and songwriter Elizabeth Busch from California will perform at 3 p.m. in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center Lobby on the Tabor College campus Sept. 2.
The public is welcomed to attend the free concert.
Busch fuses a classical musical background with her love for the simplicity of folk music. Her music follows the themes of life, God, love, sorrow and thankfulness. Audiences have described her music as peaceful, meditative and worshipful.
Busch will perform selections from her latest CD, “Consecrated: Songs Along the Journey.”
She also has performances planned for Koerner Heights Mennonite Brethren Church in Newton, where she will play during both the 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. services Sunday, Sept. 2.
Busch received her bachelor’s degree in music from Colorado Christian University and her master’s of music from the University of Southern California.
She has performed at various venues throughout Los Angeles and northern California. She released her first CD, “Romance de la Guitarra: Music of Spain and Latin America,” in May 2008.
