Goessel’s Country Threshing Days provided fun for people of all ages this past weekend. In the top photo, large and small engines were available for viewing by the hundreds of people attending the event. In the photo below, one of the more popular activities for children was Uncle Milt’s Shed, where they could play with grain or machinery on site. Donovan Schmidt, president of the board of directors of Mennonite Heritage and Agricultural Museum, said the event was blessed with cooler weather and the number of people there was about the same as last year. “The demonstrations were well-attended,” he said, “and food sales went well, too.” Overall, Schmidt said organizers were satisfied with the outcome.
