Edwin G. Schroeder, 97, retired farmer, died March 28 at Hutchinson Hospital.
The funeral was April 1 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Canton with pastor Michael Sharp officiating. Burial was at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 14, 1905, to Fred W. and Sophia (Kuhlmeier) Schroeder in Garfield County, Okla. On April 6, 1933, he was married to Alice Jahn, who survives.
He is also survived by three daughters, Janice Brightwell of Dallas, Virginia Miller of Highland Village, Texas, and Norma Barnes of Hutchinson; three grandchildren, one step-grandchild, six great-grandchildren and many step-great-
grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with the Lutheran Hour and the Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund.

Arnold H. Penner, 93
Arnold H. Penner, 93, farmer, died March 30 at Hospice House in Hutchinson.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, at Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro with pastor Tim Kliewer officiating. Burial will be at Johannestal Cemetery in rural Hillsboro.
He was born March 9, 1910, to Robert F. and Emma (Janzen) Penner in Hillsboro.
On Oct. 30, 1929, he was married to Ada Unruh, who died in 1946. On Feb. 5, 1948, he was married to Selma Penner, who predeceased him in 2002.
He is survived by two sons, Curtis Penner of Lehigh and Galen Penner of rural Hillsboro; two daughters, Fern Nickerson of Gladstone, Mo., and Joretta Martens of Haven; one sister, Esther Seibel of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
A memorial in lieu of flowers has been established with Camp Mennoscah.

Louis P. Vinduska, 86
Louis P. Vinduska, 86, farmer, died March 27 in Hillsboro.
The funeral was March 31 at Holy Family Parish St. John Nepomucene Church in Pilsen with co-celebrants Father Steve Gronert, Father Paul Oborny and John Jirak. Burial with military honors was at the Pilsen Cemetery.
He was born March 13, 1917, to Joseph F. and Cecelia (Veverka) Vinduska near Pilsen. On Oct. 15, 1946, he was married to Ruby Prochaska, who survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Terry Vinduska and wife Cindy of Marion and Ron Vinduska and wife Tammy of Topeka, and five grandaughters.
Memorial funds have been established with the Pilsen Community Center and the Father Emil Kapaun Scholarship Fund.
