Kirby Goering, Moundridge, will present “The Wheelchair that Goes Where Wheelchairs Can’t” at the 60+ Learning in Retirement Program, Monday, April 23.
The session will begin at 10 a.m. in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center, located on the Tabor College campus.
Goering, owner of Goering Muffler Shop in Moundridge, will share his vision and desire to help people in Third World countries in a practical way.
Goering builds Personal Energy Transportation (PET) for disabled people in foreign countries, such as El Salvador, Sierra Leone and Honduras. Volunteers come to his shop in Moundridge to build carts for those who have lost the use of legs due to land mines, disease or birth defects.
Steve Biana, director of PET International, and Ashley Williams, Moundridge, will also share in the morning’s program.
