Cathy Fish will be a special guest at the Senior Center on Thursday, July 19. She will speak on a selection of books she has brought from the library for seniors to read. Her "book look" is scheduled after lunch on that day. Mary McFadden, registered nurse, will be available for foot care and blood pressures also on Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. There is a change in the Center calendar for Monday, July 16. The program originally scheduled for that day is unavailable, however, "No More Headaches" is the video that will be viewed after lunch. Wednesday, July 18 is covered dish day at the Center. Postmaster Norman Bouwie will bring a program on the new post office and other current postal matters. Post office service is available beginning at 11 a.m., and lunch is served at noon. Bring food and friends. Those who volunteered their time at the Center the past two weeks included: Kitchen: Gladys Jantz, Velda Hiebert, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Judy Malin, Liz Ryding, Shirley Weibert, Lydia Pankratz, Mariann Unruh, Erma Pankratz, Nellie Jost, Mildred Harding, Vi Suderman, and Fern Unruh. Meal drivers: Roger and Lorraine Shumaker, Velber Bevan, Paul Ediger, and Harold Jost. FISH transportation: Eldon Knak, Ethel Bartel, Betty Bernhardt, Albert Fedenrecht, and Gladys Schmidt. MENU Wednesday, July 11 Roast beef and gravy, mashed potatoes, creamy cucumber, whole wheat roll, chocolate orange cake. Thursday, July 12 Chicken tettrazini, green bean plaki, whole wheat roll, pineapple. Friday, July 13 Pepper steak with rice, apricots, whole wheat roll, applesauce bar.       Monday, July 16 Steak ranchero, baked potato, cucumber/tomato salad, whole wheat roll, oatmeal crispie. Tuesday, July 17 New Orleans Hamburger, potato rounds, green beans, bun, watermelon. wednesday, July 18 Potluck Goessel Senior Center MENU Wednesday, July 11 Anniversary Dinner "Life in Ethiopia" by LaVerna Ediger Roast beef and gravy, mashed potatoes, creamy cucumbers, wheat roll, chocolate orange cake.       Thursday, July 12 Board Meeting Chicken salad, kidney beans, carrot lyonnaise, wheat bread, strawberries and bananas in gelatin. Friday, July 13 4:45: Van trip to Durahm to eat Verenika Tater tot casserole, grapefruit and oranges, wheat roll, oatmeal cookie. Monday, July 16 Spaghetti and meat sauce, tossed salad, garlic bread, cantaloupe. Tuesday, July 17 Steak ranchero, cucumber and tomatoes, cornbread, baked beans, oatmeal crispie.
