John Walter Herdt, 82, former telecommunications employee, died July 14.
The memorial service was July 18 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel in Overland Park. Burial was at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
He was born Oct. 2, 1925, in Russell.
He is survived by his wife Peggy; children Bud Herdt, Arlene Puhr, Kathy Davis, Karen Orf, Chip Harris, Nancy Sue DeSisto and Chris Harris; siblings LeRoy Herdt, Irene Hurst, Helen Jordan, Robert Herdt, George Herdt and Ruth Penner; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
