Deputy Duane McCarty of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched June 9, to the home of Kimberly Timmermeyer of Peabody in response to a vicious dog complaint.

Timmermeyer, along with her daughter and two of her daughter’s friends, were riding horses along the road by Diane Muzyka’s Peabody residence when a dog came from Muzyka’s yard and attacked Timmermeyer’s horse.

The 2-year-old female pit bull bit the horse on the left side on the flank just in front of its rear leg. Cost for the veterinarian bill for the horse was $38.

Muzyka said the dog hadn’t been vicious before.

When told by McCarty that she was responsible for contacting the veterinarian regarding the dog, Muzyka said she was moving and the dog would be gone.

Muzyka is also responsible for the veterinarian bill for the horse.
