Due to the overwhelming response to the Tabor College Center for Mennonite Brethren Studies' Mennonite Historical Tour, scheduled for May 25 to June 9 through Poland and Ukraine, a second tour has been scheduled and will be leaving a week later, on June 2, with the identical itinerary.

"The tour is remarkable in that it combines two trips in one, moving through two countries of Mennonite significance, replicating "the Mennonite trek" as it were from Poland (formerly known as Prussia) on into the Ukraine (formerly known as Russia)," said Peggy Goertzen, Director of the Center for Mennonite Brethren Studies.

The tours are being held in conjunction with the Tabor College centennial celebration and will be led by two authoritative Mennonite guides: Peter J. Klassen, a specialist in Reformation history who has studied the Mennonite story in Poland and Prussia; and Alan Peters, a Tabor College graduate and expert in Mennonite genealogy, who will lead the Ukraine portion of the trip.

The approximate costs for the 16-day trip are $4,200 per person. The price includes airfare to and from Chicago O'Hare airport, flights from Warsaw to Kiev, as well as two internal flights in Ukraine, two meals per day, and gratuities for bus drivers and guides.

The second tour is only partially filled at this point but anyone interested in making the trip are encouraged to send a deposit of $400 ($100 non-refundable) for this unforgettable trip as soon as possible. Checks may be mailed to Tabor College, Advancement Department, 400 South Jefferson, Hillsboro, KS, 67063.
