One hundred years from now, it will not matter what our bank account was, the type of house we lived in, or the kind of car we drove. Some will leave this world a better place because they volunteered and gave back.
National Volunteer Week is April 27 through May 3, and we want to extend a special “thanks” to all who volunteer here and make the Senior Center a better place. If you are interested in volunteer opportunities, please call 947-23-4.
The Senior Center will hose a baked-potato bar fundraiser on Friday, May 2, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The menu includes baked potatoes with various toppings, ice cream, cookies, water and coffee. The cost is a $5 minimum contribution per person.
Mary McFadden will be here for foot care on Tuesday, May 6. Call not to make an appointment.
A big “thank-you” to our weekly volunteers: Carol Hicks, Frieda Birkle, Irma Groening, Irma Koop, Nellie Penner, Darlene Matz, Louise Rahe, Joanne Faurot and Mariann Unruh. —Karly Winter, director
