Ethel Ellen Schmidt, 88, of rural Walton, former teacher, died April 12 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 18 at Tabor Mennonite Church, Goessel.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., April 17 at Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.
She was born Dec. 26, 1919, to Rudolf B. and Susie (Voth) Schmidt.
She is survived by a brother, Esley Schmidt of Agricola; a sister, Hildred Schmidt of Walton; three nephews, one niece, five grand-nephews and four grand-nieces.
Memorial funds have been established with Mennonite Central Committee and a scholarship fund in her name, in care of the funeral home.
