Joel A. Franz, 81, former custom draper, died April 4 in Hillsboro.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 9 at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro. Burial will be at Haven of Rest Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
He was born Jan. 19, 1927, to Jacob Franz and Minnie Funk Franz in Buhler. On July 25, 1947, he was married to Goldie Stubby, who predeceased him.
He is survived by a daughter, Deanna and Dennis Jantz of Park City; a daughter-in-law, Marlys Plett of Hillsboro; a sister, Alice Peters of Inman; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial fund has been established with First Mennonite Church.
