Josephine Thye, 89, former teacher, died April 3 in Hillsboro.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 6 at Hillsboro United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 5 at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
She was born Nov. 27, 1918, to Abe Groening and Anna Pankratz Groening in Hillsboro. On Aug. 25, 1942, she was married to Harry Thye, who predeceased her.
She is survived by a son, Larry Thye of Hot Springs, Ark.; daughters Connie Burnham of English, Ind., and Judy Pelot of Leesburg, Fla.; a sister, Myrless of Lawrence; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial funds have been established with Parkside Homes and Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
