Raymond C. Coffelt, 91, of Hiawatha, died March 23 at Maple Heights Nursing home.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 27 at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha. Burial will follow at Horton Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will be present from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
He was born July 23, 1916, to Albert and Margaret Gattermeir Coffelt in Olathe. On Sept. 20, 1941, he was married to Helen Lanter, who survives.
He is also survived by a son, R.C. Coffelt of Tulsa, Okla.; a daughter, Janet and Jim Shaw of Topeka; a brother, Hobert Coffelt of Olathe; four sisters, Mickey Coffelt of Overland Park, Ruth Kimmi of Lenexa, Gladys Slocomb of Cartersville, Ga., and Ruby Moss of Chillicothe, Mo.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial funds have been established with Everest Christian Church Memorial Fund and Hiawatha City Lake Bridge Fund, in care of the funereal home, 124 S. Seventh St. 66434.
