The Tabor College tennis teams measured themselves against a squad visiting from William Jewell Saturday in Hillsboro. The Cardinals defeated the Bluejays 7-2 on both the men’s and women’s side.
The Tabor men garnered match wins at the hands of Shane Miller and doubles duo Andy Adrian and Aaron Friesen.
Miller rallied from behind to defeat Alex Elmore 2-6, 6-4, (10-1). Adrian and Friesen topped the William Jewell duo of Cole Stretch and Clint Stull, 8-4.
The women benefitted from wins by singles standout Laurel Delamater and the doubles team of Katie Chlumsky and Stefanie Welz.
Delamater claimed her victory over Sydnee Mela, 6-1, 6-7, (7-3). Chlumsky and Welz got the better of Ann Lewis and Debra Bowman, 8-6.
Tabor traveled to Oklahoma Wesleyan Monday, but results were not available at press time.
