Mary Elizabeth Unruh, 88, pastor of Mennonite churches with her husband, died March 9 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13 at Golden Plains Free Methodist Church, rural Newton.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 12 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton.
She was born May 12, 1919, to Justina (Pankratz) and Peter H. Frantz in Durham. On Feb. 27, 1938, she was married to Noah D. Unruh, who predeceased her.
She is survived by two daughters, Naomi R. Unruh of Newton, and Margaret M. and Don Davis of Overland Park; a sister, Josephine Holdeman Eslinger and husband Everett of Canton; two sister-in-laws, Lucille Frantz of California and Edith Unruh of Newton; one grandchild, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorial funds have been established with Golden Plains Free Methodist Church or Bethesda Home in care of the funeral home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton.
