Thomas Edward Orme Jr., 77, U.S. Navy veteran, died March 2 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. March 15 at United Methodist Church in Florence. A luncheon will follow.
He was born May 4, 1930, to Thomas E. and Viola Orme in Rushville, Ind. On Oct. 28, 1950, he was married to Joan Sorrell, who survives.
He is also survived by three daughters, Dianna and James Welch of Levering, Mich., Pennie and Larry Herbert of Rushville, and Melissa and Stuart Funk of Florence; a sister, Wanda Stevens of Rushville; and brothers, William Orme of Indianapolis, Ind., and Kenneth Orme of Washington; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial funds have been established with American Cancer Society and Great Plains Assistance Dogs Foundation.
