Goessel—The Olpe Eagles overpowered the Bluebirds 71-59 Saturday in the Class 1A sub-state finals at Emporia. The Bluebirds finished 18-7.
Craig Banman scored 21 points, including a 4-for-6 showing from the 3-point arc. Nathan Ensz tallied 13 points.
Goessel overpowered St. Paul 58-15 Thursday.
Peabody-Burns—The Warriors fell to St. Marys 71-55 Friday at the Wabaunsee Class 2A sub-state tournament, closing out the season 12-10.

52-44 Feb. 26 in Peabody. Duane Unruh rolled up 14 points, including
six during a 13-7 first frame that powered PBHS to a 21-14 halftime
lead. Trevor Hamm scored 12 points.
Canton-Galva—Saint Marys defeated the Eagles 81-55 Feb. 26 at the Wabaunsee sub-state tournament.
