Joe and Debbie Jury feed cattle and raise crops such as wheat, corn and hay on their family farm near Ingalls. They also harvest electric power from the gusty Kansas wind.

Joe Jury will present “One Answer to the Energy Crisis: Gray County Wind Farm” at the Tabor College 60+ Learning in Retirement Program, at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 25, in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Building on the main campus. The public is encouraged to attend.

The Jurys’ involvement with the Gray County Wind Farm began in early 2000 when Florida Power and Light contacted them about putting wind turbines on their land. Construction was completed in October 2001.

In addition to Jury’s PowerPoint presentation, Tabor’s new president, Jules Glanzer, will be introduced.

Admission is free for semester members; others may pay $3 at the door. For more information contact program director Connie Issac at 620-947-3121 or 947-5964.
