Canton-Galva vs. Peabody-Burns—The contest postponed from Dec. 14 was won by the Warriors 93-61 Jan. 22.

PBHS took a 27-16 lead in the first quarter. Duane Unruh tallied 10 points in the first, and finished with 30.

Four other Warriors reached double-digits: Adam Benson (15), Jacob Simmonds (13), Trevor Hamm (12) and Nathan Bishop (11). Ted Regehr caught fire in the third quarter, leading the Eagles to a 26-24 frame with 16 of his 26 points. Destin Nightengale scored 15 points for Canton-Galva.

Centre—The Cougars tagged White City, 62-51, Friday, getting 15 points a piece from Ben Krause and Trevor Troutt, and 14 from James Weber.

The Cougar trio scored all the points as Centre jumped out to an 18-13 lead in the first quarter. Zach Slayden hit a 3-pointer in the second and finished with 8 points.

The Cougars carried a 31-28 advantage into halftime.

Slayden and Bryant Brunner each hit a 3-point shot and Centre put together 12-8 run during the third quarter. The run made it 43-36, and the Cougars closed the game out with a 19-15 fourth frame.

Centre faced Solomon Tuesday night. Up next is a visit from Lebo, followed by a trip to Solomon Feb. 5.

Canton-Galva—Ted Regehr scored 24 points against Berean Academy Friday, but a 15-6 run in the second quarter proved too much to overcome and the Eagles lost, 59-47. The Eagles trailed by 10 at halftime, but cut it to 37-29 during the third quarter. Berean outscored CGHS 22-18 in the fourth.

Canton-Galva faced Hutch Trinity Tuesday night. Up next is a visit from Remington, followed by a visit from Peabody-Burns Feb. 5.

Goessel—Led by Kendall Voth who scored 18 points, GHS beat Little River, 52-29, Friday.

The first quarter ended 13-12 in Goessel’s favor, and the Bluebirds blew the game open with a 13-2 run in the second quarter. Goessel outscored Little River 26-15 in the second half.

Goessel faced Berean Academy Tuesday night in Elbing. Up next is a trip to Inman, followed by a visit from Moundridge Feb. 5.

Peabody-Burns—The Warriors bounced back from a 12-point first-quarter deficit to beat Remington, 58-56, Friday.

A 21-14 second quarter helped turn the momentum in the home team’s favor. The Warriors cut it to 43-40 entering the final frame, and outscored Remington 18-13 to secure the win.

Trevor Hamm led Peabody-Burns with 16. Nathan Bishop scored 12 and Austin Unruh added 11. The Warriors improved to 7-6 on the year.

PBHS faced Sedgwick Tuesday night at home. Up next is a visit from Little River, followed by a trip to Canton Galva Feb. 5.
