Centre—Saturday’s 48-35 win over Wakefield was good for third place at the Eisenhower League tournament.
Shelby Deines scored 8 points during a 15-10 first quarter, and Kylie Burhoop carried Centre to victory with 26 points—23 of which came in the final three frames. The Cougars defeated Solomon 47-42 in the first round and lost to Hope 50-25 on Jan. 15. Up next for Centre is a Friday night visit from White City. On Tuesday, the Cougars travel to Solomon.
Canton-Galva—Berean defeated the Eagles 57-22 Friday. Up next for CGHS is a Tuesday night visit from Remington.
Goessel—Little River beat the Bluebirds 45-23.
Up next is the Berean Invitational. Goessel played Peabody Burns at 6 p.m. Tuesday and will play Burrton at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Peabody-Burns—Remington defeated the Warriors 57-19 Friday night. PBHS trailed 28-12 at halftime and were limited to seven points the rest of the way.
Jessica Gillet and Bayleigh Clark each scored six points for Peabody-Burns. Up next is the Berean Invitational. The Warriors played Burrton Monday and Goessel at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Fifth place will be decided at 2 p.m. Saturday with the third place game to follow at 3:45 p.m. and the championship slated for 5:30 p.m.
