Greetings from the Hillsboro Senior Center. We wish you many blessings, peace and love this new year. Come and make the Senior Center part of your week.

Darla Stonehouse from the Newton Medical Center will share with us after lunch Thursday, Jan. 17. Paul Jantzen will share winter snow slides after lunch Friday, Jan. 18 and men’s coffee will begin at 3 p.m. The Senior Center will be closed Monday, Jan. 21 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

A big thank you to our weekly volunteers: Frances Rempel, Lois Nuss, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Nellie Penner, Marcella Mohn, Mariann Unruh and Ann Fast. —Karly Winter

Smothered steak, noodles, romanoff, spinach, wheat bread, blushing applesauce.

Goulash, lettuce and pea salad, wheat bread, heavenly hash salad.

WEDNESDAY, Jan. 23

Roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, stewed tomatoes, wheat bread, spiced apples.
