Centre

With four players in double digits, the Cougars handled Elyria Christian with ease, staking themselves to a 13-5 lead and never looking back on their way to a 57-33 win.

Shelby Deines tallied 11 points during the 16-8 second quarter that cemented Centre’s lead. She totaled 13. Carlye Simons scored seven of the team’s 13 during the third and finished with 12 points.

Leann Pankratz and Kylie Burhoop each scored 10.

Canton-Galva

Putting three players in double digits was not enough during the Eagles’ 42-37 loss against Moundridge.

Canton-Galva grabbed an 11-6 lead in the first quarter behind six points from Kylie Haines and earned a 23-22 halftime lead. Moundridge knotted the game at 31-all headed into the fourth.

But six foul shots and two Moundridge field goalsprovided the final margin.

Goessel

The Bluebirds overpowered Burrton 37-24 Saturday, and Karis Janzen broke a school record with 20 rebounds—11 offensive—in support of leading scorers Kendra Flaming and Karina Harvey, who each totaled 10 points.

Goessel carried a 16-9 lead into the halftime break and outscored Burrton 21-15 during the rest of the game.

Peabody-Burns

The Warriors took a 20-12 lead into the second half on the strength of an 11-4 run during the second quarter powered by a 2-pointer and a 3-point shot by Becky Morris.

But Bennington exploded for 19 points in the third quarter and doubled up on Peabody-Burns 12-6 in the fourth to win 43-38. Danielle Savage led the Warriors with 10 points.
