Greetings from the Hillsboro Senior Center! We hope Christ­mas was a wonderful time for you and your family. We hope you will make the Senior Center a part of your weeks in the new year.

Join us Monday, Dec. 31, for our Birthday Dinner followed by special music by Paul Epp. The Senior Center will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day. On Wednesday, Jan. 2, we will share our best and funniest resolutions.

A big “thanks” to our weekly volunteers: Frieda Birkle, Lois Nuss, Nellie Penner, Louise Rahe, Mariann Unruh and Carol Unruh. —Karly Winter, director

Scalloped potatoes and ham, peas, wheat bread, blushing pears.

THURSDAY, Dec. 27

Pot roast, boiled potatoes, green bean casserole, wheat bread, creamy orange salad.

FRIDAY, Dec. 28

Chicken noodle soup, meat salad sandwich, crackers, heavenly hash salad, cookie.

MONDAY, Dec. 31

Birthday Dinner—chicken and rice casserole, winter mix, wheat bread, peaches, birthday cake with frosting.

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, baked squash, fruit with marshmallow cream.

11:15 a.m. –– Exercises.

9:15 a.m.—Foot care and blood pressure.
