Hutchinson Trinity defeated the Bluebirds 53-31 on Tuesday, jumping
to a 22-7 first-quarter advantage that grew to 48-24 after three
quarters.
Weston Hiebert led GHS with 8 points on 4-for-7 shooting. Austin Unruh scored 7 points, Travis Fensky 5, Cameron Voth 4 and Craig Banman, Kendall Voth and Nathan Ensz 2 each. Goessel committed 26 turnovers.
The Bluebirds return to competition Jan. 4 at Sedgwick. On Jan. 5, Burrton visits Goessel with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off. Goessel will host Peabody-Burns Jan. 8.
The postponed Dec. 14 home game against Argonia will be made up at 7:30 p.m Jan. 28.
