Esther Carlson, 87

Esther Pearl Carlson, 87, of Carlton, homemaker, died Dec. 5 at Enterprise (Kan.) Estates Nursing Center.

The funeral was held Dec. 8 at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, rural Abilene. She was buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Carlton.

She was born July 23, 1920, to Pearl Allen and Helen Pearl (Anderson) Snook in Roxbury. On Feb. 19, 1941, she was married to Emil Emmanuel Carlson, who survives.

She is also survived by a son, Fred Carlson of Hillsboro; three daughters, Sharon Flaherty of Salina, Mary Rohrer of Hope, and Anna Bock of Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church or other charities of choice in care of Carlson-Becker Funeral Home, 106 N. Second St., Hope, KS 67451.

Marcene Gunter, 71

Marcene Lucille Gunter, 71, office computer manager of Wesley Family Practice, died Dec. 5 in Hillsboro.

The funeral was held Dec. 10 at Hillsboro United Methodist Church. She was buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Wichita.

She was born Jan. 26, 1936, to Walter Weber and Velma Whisman in Wichita. On Dec. 28, 1952, she was married to Charles Gunter, who survives in Hillsboro.

She is also survived by two daughters, Gwen and Larry Rose of Wichita, and Lucinda and Jim Epley of Wichita; two brothers, Lloyd Cox and Lyle Cox, both of Louisiana; two sisters, Elizabeth Pryor of Illinois, and Beulah Ann Harp; four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial funds have been established with the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.

Janet Keazer, 86, of Marion, director of Hill Top Manor, died Dec. 7 at Golden Living Center in Marion.

The funeral was held Dec. 11 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church in Marion. She was buried at Marion Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 6, 1921, to George and Marie (Moehlman) Thye in Hillsboro. In February 1942, she was married to Harold Keazer, who survives.

She is also survived by two sons, Jim and Melody Keazer of Rogers, Ark., and Doug and Luci Keazer of West Lafayette, Ind.; a daughter, Jeanne Keazer of Concordia; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial funds have been established with the American Cancer Society and the Golden Living Center.

Lillian Stenzel, 80

Lillian Criger Heidel Stenzel, 80, died Dec. 9 at St. Luke Hospital in Marion.

The funeral will be Saturday, Dec. 15 at Valley United Methodist Church in Marion. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14 at Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion.

A memorial fund has been established with St. Luke Living Center in Marion.

Lyle L. Voth, 53

Lyle L. Voth, 53, of Galva, a tank truck driver for Schulz Welding of Canton, died Dec. 7 at Memorial Hospital in McPherson.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12 at Lone Tree Church of God in Christ, rural Galva. He was buried at Lone Tree Church Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 11 at Olson’s Mortuary in Canton.

He was born Aug. 31, 1954, to Vernon L. and Doris J. (Koehn) Voth in Moundridge. On June 3, 1989, he was married to Keli Otte, who survives in Galva.

He is also survived by a daughter, Kimberlin Voth of Galva; his parents of Galva; a step-son, Daryl Regier of Canton; a step-daughter, Dana Regier of Wichita; two brothers, Calvin and Charla Voth of McPherson, and Marvin and Terri Voth of Canton; and one grandson.

A Kimberlin Voth Education Fund has been established in care of Olson’s Mortuary, 139 N. Main, P.O. Box 355, Canton, KS 67428.

Wilma Voth, 82

Wilma Voth, 82, homemaker, died Dec. 3 at her home in rural Peabody.

The funeral was held Dec. 7 at Tabor Mennonite Church, rural Goessel.

She was born March 17, 1925, to John P. and Augusta (Unruh) Unruh in Goessel. On June 11, 1948, she was married to Arnold H. Voth, who survives.

She is also survived by a son, Rodney J. Voth of Hillsboro; three daughters, Annette Voth of Elbing, Lois Voth of The Woodlands, Texas, and Ellen Voth of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Robert C. Unruh of Goessel, and Fred Unruh of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada; and six grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established with Mennonite Central Committee.

Warren Winter, 64

Warren C. Winter, 64, dairy farmer, died Dec. 4 in Hillsboro.

The funeral was held Dec. 8 at Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro. A private family burial was held at Johannestal Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

He was born June 22, 1943, to Carl Winter and Norma Wangerin in Hillsboro. On May 31, 1970, he was married to Jean Unruh, who survives in Hillsboro.

He is also survived by a son, Kevin Winter of Hillsboro; two daughters, Dalina Winter of Nairobi, Kenya, and Krista Winter of Lancaster, Penn.; and a brother, Norman Winter of Hillsboro.
